Bow Hunting Techniques and Field Signs

A course for those wishing to learn to hunt with traditional equipment. The workshop will include a woods walk, with a focus on whitetail deer hunting.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
This session with Joe Brant includes a woods walk (so dress accordingly) as part of the teaching tableau. He will cover everything a bow hunter needs to be aware of in order to get close to their quarry - in this case focusing on whitetail - including proper equipment, clothing, stalking, and stand selection.

This is not an archery workshop.  It is geared more on how to hunt and how to read the land and signs left by animals, with a strong emphasis on traditional equipment.
This workshop will cover 'fair chase' tactics  only and will not cover food plots, baiting, or 'quality deer management.'

This also is not one of the DEC bow hunter safety courses, which you will need to take separately for licensing (free to $25.)
This workshop covers things not covered in those safety-oriented courses, and goes into more depth on some topics that overlap.

There is a limit of 6-8 attendees, though we may do a second session on May 2 if there is overflow from this one.

PRESENTER BIOGRAPHY
