near Potsdam, NY
THIS SESSION FILLS UP OFTEN (limit of 18) - BE SURE TO RESERVE NOW!
After attending this seminar, you will never look at the "lowly bean" in quite the same way again. We will show you delightful ways to make it a treat for you and your whole family! For as low as 28 cents per serving!
Join us for the original seminar in our series covering both basic and advanced culinary skills. Held roughly every other month on a topic related to the season, these sessions are designed to assist those interested in eating "lower on the food chain", more in keeping with the freshness of the season -- and more economically as well!
This whole grains and tasty beans workshop demonstrates that eating hearty grains and nutrient-packed beans does not have to be boring. We share with participants how to cook the elusive legume, educate them on knives, cookware, use of herbs and spices and much more. Finally, there is an opportunity to sample different combinations of each tasty food with delicious condiments and complementary foods!
This will be our fifth time hosting this popular cooking seminar with Paula Youmell of Hands-On Health, assisted by Chelle Lindahl. We will share cooking tips and various techniques as well as the health benefits of eating "low on the food chain."
Best of all, learn how to feed yourself and your family cheaply, and well -- plus it's yummy! You'll enjoy every unique meal we will share in creating.
Ms. Youmell is an R.N., Certified Health Education and Lifetime Wellness/Fitness Teacher who has worked in the areas of holistic health, healing and whole foods for twenty-plus years; currently proprietor of Hands On Health Holistic Healing. Paula has co-presented several workshops in this series including our Vegetarian/Vegan and the Baking with Whole Foods seminars.
Chelle Lindahl has been eating well her whole life and loves to share the pleasures of the simple life with folks seeking better ways to live that actually work. Ms. Lindahl is currently Co-Coordinator for the Local Living Venture, and is this workshop series creator.
