Lots O' Knots - Especially for Kids on Winter Break!

A Spring break workshop geared to children, and their grown-ups! Learn the twists and turns of lots of knots, nautically-inspired in some cases.

~ ~ ~
The Local Living Venture is pleased to join with Jim Blackmore of the St. Lawrence Power Squadron in Waddington to present a fun and useful class for children - and their grown-ups! - during Winter break!

JOIN IN THE FUN as Jim shares the magic and mystery of lots of useful knots for home, boat, farm, and life in general!  This is an interactive class with emphasis on student participation.  Some of the knots we will learn and practice include an overhand knot, bowline, a cleat hitch, and more!
(Note: we hope to do another session for adults later!)

Who Should Attend?
All children, ages 8 and up are welcome to attend, and to bring their grown-ups with them as well!
This course is for anyone with the desire to learn better knot tying. All attendees will be shown and then be able to practice different knots.
Parent/guardian approval signature required for minor age student, upon signing in.
If you are an experienced knot tie-er, please come join us and help those who might need more practice. There will be a minimum of lecture - the emphasis will be on doing the tying!
