During this wonderful session with Len Mackey we will explore the two oldest forms of fire-making, via the hand drill and bow drill; techniques that have lived for thousands of years.
We will learn how to make a teepee fire structure of entirely natural materials to warm the heart, the spirit, and the stones for the sweat lodge (a form of sauna), rain or shine.
A sweat lodge ceremony will follow the fire-making fun for those who are interested, so bring your bathing suit and plenty of drinking water if you wish to enter the lodge following the fire-making workshop.
The benefits of deep sweating such as in a sweat lodge include stress relief, relaxation of muscle and aches, the flushing of toxins, refreshed skin tone, deeper sleep, improved cardiovascular performance, and the burning of calories. And the benefit of doing it with Len is...it's just going to be fun!
